Bosch GPL 3 Professional Laser Level Review

Looking for a small and accurate point laser level?

This is one of the most common lasers levels type used by plumbers and electricians in special. In today’s Bosch GPL 3 Professional Laser Level Review we are going to talk about some features and specifications.

I personally don’t recommend to purchase a point laser level if you are a DIYer

Why?

Just because you are going to be limited to just that … to points.

Look for other kinds of laser levels that could help you with doing more than just one task. Check out my laser level buying guide to learn more about these great tools or if you already have the knowledge then jump straight into the meat and check out the latest laser level reviews and leveling devices.

best laser level for small projects bosch gpl3
One of the best laser level for ceiling light and other electrical works

The Bosch GPL 3 features 3 projecting points, that’s 2 dots less than its bigger brother, the Bosch GPL5. And it’s really great for plumbers, electricians when they need to transfer a point from the floor onto the ceiling.

This handy little tool ensures that leveling work, hanging fixtures and fitting can be completed with ease and precision.

The PCL 3 is perfect for small jobs as it is visible to up to 20 meters and self-leveling from up to 4 degrees within seconds.

Made from durable hardwearing plastic, with a toughened glass plate cover for the laser, the GPL 3 weighs just 2 pounds and its dimensions are 4.1 x 3.1 x 1.6 inches. A wall mount is included as standard, however, it is also possible to mount it to a sturdy tripod, leaving your hands free to complete tasks efficiently and quickly.

This laser comes with a 2 year Bosch warranty with the option to extend to 3 years. It is powered by 4 AA batteries and also comes with a protective case.

A friend of mine was telling me the other day he prefers to use those old methods of setting up levels by using a water level. He was saying it’s easier, it doesn’t break and it’s pretty damn accurate.

It’s fine, that his opinion though :). How about you? Which one do you prefer? The water levels vs laser levels? Leave me a comment below. I personally stick to the laser level hehe. Less work 🙂
